Cellulite is a condition that affects 85% of post-adolescent women. It is characterized by a
bumpy, dimpled or "orange peel" look to the skin, and it generally appears on the thighs,
buttocks, and arms. The appearance of cellulite is thought to be caused by constricted
circulation in the skin, swollen fat cells, and decreased elasticity of the skin's connective
fibers.

SilkLight® is the world's first patented technology which is FDA approved to temporarily, yet effectively,
reduce the appearance of cellulite. Most patients claim that it:
• reduces cellulite
• contours the body
• increases skin elasticity
• increases circulation
• facilitates lymphatic drainage

The SilkLight experience is a comprehensive, non-surgical approach bwhich embraces the physical and
aesthetic needs of the whole body using a patented technique proven safe and effective. Discover the
beauty of a figure that inspires self-confidence. Renew the tone of your skin to soft and supple.
cellulite does not respond well to weight loss, exercise, creams, or even surgical liposuction. The only
FDA approved method to reduce cellulite is that used by SilkLight.

SilkLight uses rollers and gentle suctioning to deep massage the affected areas in a way that cannot be
otherwise duplicated. Studies have shown that circulation is increased, collagen function is restored,
toxins and abnormal water build-up is expelled as the connective fibers are stretched. The result is a
smoother, more contoured body.

Does it really work? Have you seen results?
Yes it does work, as demonstrated over the past 12 years in thousands of case studies from around the
world. It was enough proof for the FDA to authorize the manufacturer to claim temporary reduction in the
appearance of cellulite. The FDA is renown for its strictest scientific standards world-wide.

How many treatments can I have in one week?
The average number of treatments is two per week. If you are simultaneously in the process of losing a
significant amount of weight or if you have a long-term problematic cellulite condition, one treatment per
week is recommended. More than two sessions per week will not bring faster results.

How long does a session last? Do you just work on my problem areas?
Sessions last an average of 35 minutes. Your problem areas are focused on, but time is given to other
areas to stimulate general circulation and elimination.

How many sessions before I see results?
Usually people see changes within 5 to 6 sessions, but 14 is the average number of suggested
treatments. Monthly maintenance sessions are suggested thereafter.

Does this replace exercise?
No. In fact, it is highly recommended that you add diet and exercise to the routine you follow while
undergoing SilkLight treatments. In most cases, this improves results.

Does this treatment work on men also?
Definitely. Our clinical experience has shown excellent results for problem areas such as "love handles"
and loose pectoral tissue.

Why are pantyhose worn when receiving treatments?
Pantyhose allows the SilkLight treatment head to glide more easily over the body and insures optimal
hygiene.

Does the machine tone the skin? Will I lose weight?
Patients often notice an improvement in skin tone after using the machine. Appearance of stretch marks
and loose skin may be improved. It is not a weight loss machine, however, many clients report being
able to lose weight, especially fat weight, more easily while using the machine than they ever could
before.

Why not just by a hand-held machine for $99?
First, logically, it is like comparing a hand-held vacuum to the best, highest tech, commercial vacuum.
Second and most important, they are not FDA approved and have no scientific evidence to back them.

What is the difference between SilkLight and Liposuction? Can it be used instead of
Liposuction?
SilkLight, unlike liposuction, does not involve breaking through the skin in any way. Some people try
SilkLight first and then choose to wait to receive liposuction. Some choose to receive both as part of a
dual treatment to their problem. SilkLight is being used and studied by some of the most well known
practitioners of liposuction in the world.

Why are photos taken before and after the treatment?
Photos are taken to provide an accurate record of improvements and to help the SilkLight practitioner
provide better treatments through comparative analysis.

I don't want anyone to see my pictures. Do you protect my privacy?
Only your therapist and attendant staff will see your photos. If you wish, and you sign a release to that
effect, your photos may be used for educational and promotional purposes.

What sensations will I experience during the treatment? Does it hurt?
The sensation is similar to a deep massage. Most clients find it quite pleasant. The strength of the
treatment can be individually adjusted to your comfort level.

What will I feel afterwards?
Most clients report a feeling of relaxation and an increase in energy. Since the lymph system is
stimulated, it is important for the success of your treatment that you drink at least two liters of water
every day during the duration of your treatment in order to aid in elimination.

Are there any side effects?
Minor, temporary bruising may occur.

Can I receive treatments if I am pregnant?
No correlation has been found between SilkLight and complications in pregnancy. However, it is
recommended that during pregnancy you do NOT receive treatments.

Can I have SilkLight treatments if I'm planning to have liposuction?
Yes! SilkLight is recommended by many plastic surgeons before and after liposuction (especially after).
SilkLight counteracts the rippling and hard fat deposits that can occur with liposuction. Cellulite is the
appearance of an unattractive dimpled skin or "dimpled fat" on or around the outer thighs, buttocks and
other body areas where large areas of fat are found in close proximity to the skin. Women are more
affected by cellulite formation than men, especially on the thighs. Cellulite formations start in puberty in
women as hormones change. Most women over age 18 have some degree of cellulite. In men, loose fat
on the hips (love handles), chest (pectoral) area and the thighs can resemble cellulite. A person does
not have to be overweight to develop this dimpled skin called cellulite and cellulite is not always reduced
by weight loss. The scientific theory of cellulite is that the skin's underlying supports called fibrous
septae do not hold the skin together evenly and this uneven support causes the irregular bulging and
dimples. The skin is tethered down by string-like tissues that pull it inward, toward the interior of the
body. The tension of these strings pulls sections of fat in along with them. Cellulite has been compared
to the dimples in a mattress that are caused by the strings that hold the "tucks" down.
